I usually guard (and teach) with my hair in a braid. One day (Thursday maybe?) my bangs kept coming loose so I put another hair-tie in it at the base of my head. I showed Jesus what I wanted him to fix on his breaststroke and he looks up and says, "Why is your hair like that? You look like the girl from Shrek!" "Jesus did you even listen to what I said?" "Wait, what?"
And then this week, on Wednesday, he said one of the funniest things I've ever heard! We're sitting there stretching before I let them all jump in, and it came up how old everyone was (Most of them were 10.) I said I was 18. Jesus, totally shocked by my age, says "You're 18?? I thought you were 40. Or 30."
Also this week, my phone died. Es ist alles kaput. It was a purple Motorola. Not a Razr, those are dumb. Just a purple Motorola flip phone. So I had to order a new one form Verizon. My new phone is $450. I got it for $20. It's a Casio Exilim. I like it so far, I already dropped it by accident, and it didn't even notice. My favorite thing about is= water resistant!! Yay! perfect lifeguard/swimmer phone! I also like the camera. It's cool and fun to flip the screen around. I named my phone Absolem, after the blue caterpillar from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. That's a good movie. And Exilim, Absolem, it doesn't sound that different. The only bad thing about having my new phone, is that I wasn't able to get any my contacts out of my old phone before it died. Eh. I guess I'll still get all the important people.
